How do alerts work?
ExploreDrop compares each new price with the last check. It sends an email when the change matches your monitor settings.
A rate reopens
Sometimes a rate is unavailable and then comes back.
You get an alert only if the rate is at or below your target. If the monitor has no target, you get no alert.
The price drops
ExploreDrop compares the new price with the last check:
- Target set: you get an alert when the new price is at or below your target. A drop that stays above the target does not alert.
- Percentage set: you get an alert when the drop meets your percentage.
- No target and no percentage: any drop alerts.
Per-night alerts on flexible monitors
On a flexible monitor with a target, each check-in date that goes under the target alerts once. The email says "Another night under your target".
If that date closes or rises above the target, ExploreDrop forgets it. It can alert again if it comes back under the target.
What the email contains
- The subject "Price Drop Alert: (hotel) - Save X%!".
- A "Book on Marriott" button.
- Your target price.
- An unsubscribe link.
From the 3rd alert at the same price, the email adds the note "You already got this alert multiple times". It also has a Delete monitor button.
Turn alerts off
Click the unsubscribe link in any alert email.
Or go to the Account page. Under Email preferences, turn off the "Price alert emails" toggle.
